This is the sixth part of the online awareness creation post. It is about the nine marketing strategies to use to create awareness for your online business to succeed. Specifically we will discuss Pinterest.

This is another great social media network for your blog and affiliate marketing. Unlike the others, LinkedIN’s users, the average of whom earns more than $100,000 a year, are business and career focused.

LinkedIN can be a dream place for you to build your audience if you write about or offer affiliate products or business, making money, careers, or other business or money-focused topics.

Just as we saw for Twitter, there are three main strategies for effective marketing on LinkedIN:

  • Marketing to the masses
  • Displaying your expertise
  • Connecting with influencers

On LinkedIN, to market to the masses and connect with influencers, you must join industry and professional groups.

The groups can be browsed at www.linkedin.com/myGroups

Another way is to type your keyword (e.g.: bloggers or affiliate marketers) into the LinkedIN search bar on the groups page. The site will return results of bloggers or affiliate marketers who share ideas and support each other.

When you join and connect with like-minded people, you might find some great promotional partners or some good information that can help you take your business to the next level.

With just a few minutes of work, you could connect with tens of thousands of people interested in your field on LinkedIN.
