Worldventures Review

Today’s article will be a Worldventures review.

This is an interesting company that offers dream vacations to its members at affordable prices.

We just could not resist finding out all we can about this kind of business. In effect, who does not like the idea of dream vacations?

They also boast of an awesome multi-level marketing program for their distributors. So this is another reason to take a good look at this company.

As we always do when we write a review, we will take a look at how strong the company is and what kind of a reputation they have.

We will also look at their product line and business plan to see if they have what it takes to get the job done. Then we will look at the pros and cons of working with this company.

Last, we will give our views on what we think of this company, be it good, bad or ugly!

So, let’s get started with who they are, what they do and where they came from!

We can show you a place where you can build your very own successful business with step by step training and we can show it to you for free! Just check out our number one recommendation for more info!

The company

Worldventures is listed at 25 on the list of the top 100 multi-level marketing companies in the world. It has an annual income of 926.6 million dollars.

The company’s website boasts over 500 thousand members in over 40 countries. They are listed as a ravel, multi-level marketing industry.

The key people in the company are as follows:

  • Mike Azcue – Co-Founder and Former CEO
  • Wayne Nugent – Co-Founder and Chief Visionary Officer
  • Paul Jenkins – Chief Technology Officer
  • Josh Paine – Chief Executive Officer
  • Kathy McBrayer – Chief People Officer
  • Sophia Stoller – Vice President of Communications
  • Dan Stammen – Co-Owner and Chief of Business Development (Former CEO)
  • Eddie Head – President and Chief Strategy Officer
  • Sophia Stoller – Vice President of Communications
  • Gregg Stephenson – Compliance Director

This company immediately started raising red flags for us as soon as we started looking into the company.

They were founded in 2005 by Wayne Nugent and Mike Azcue. The idea was to create a “Mary Kay of travel”. Which is exactly what they did!

But it was because of the failure of their major competitor YTB International that really launched them on their way. In effect, YBT became involved with several lawsuits that eventually destroyed their company.

This opened the door for Worldventures to increase their worth from 15 million to 90 million dollars in one short year!

That is pretty impressive but it seems that this was the peak of the company. Because they seem to be sliding back down the hill rather quickly in the last few years.

In 2014 the Norwegian government sued the company and shut them down in their country claiming they were running a pyramid scheme.

Many of their top distributors have filed lawsuits recently claiming they were let go so management could funnel their commissions to upper management.

This on top of the news that the co-founder had just settled tax evasion charges really makes this smell of cash-out and get out attitude that really raises the red flags for us.

The products

They claim that by becoming a member they can offer
dream vacations, day trips, hotel savings, and car rental savings. In addition, they earn bonus points for future discounts and these savings make these vacations affordable to their members. But we found many kinks in this claim.

Our first issue is when you go to their website at www.dreamtrips.com. You will find that you must choose from trips and vacations they offer at the times they state.

You are not free to build your own vacation but must choose what they have offered at any given time. This means if your vacation time does not coincide with a package they offer, you are out of luck.

The business plan

There is just so much to write about this we will never get it all listed in this review. So we will list the most obvious reasons why this company’s business plan stinks.

You are first required to become a member. Then you are asked to sign up other members to earn points for both payment and for discounts for your own trips and such.

The company does supply all the training you will need to accomplish this. But right out of the gate the claims they sell are just not true.

They claim airfare is covered in their trips for their members. But we could not find a single case of this.

We also discovered the company holds your points in individual e-wallets that only the company can access. Thus distributors are claiming that they are not getting paid.

The distributors are also claiming that the company will not allow them to use their credits as they wish. Rather they only allow so many per trip. This makes it impossible to get any real discounts.

Our biggest red flag of all came when we found out that all this company is really doing is putting together trips at already discounted prices from other companies. Then they add their own fees on top of the other expenses.

You can essentially get these same deals off the web without their added fees or their membership charges.

The pros

None found!

The cons

Too many to list!

Our view

By now you can probably guess what we think of this company.

We give them the biggest thumbs down we can and recommend running as fast as possible away from these people.

Thanks for checking out our Worldventure Review and we hope we answered all your questions on this company.

  1. Oh dear, and I was having a look at this company as an affordable way to maybe visit the USA in the near future. Maybe it is better to just save and go on my own steam after reading this review.

On researching further, I discovered it is actually more expensive in the end to go on an overseas trip through World Ventures, probably because of the distributors that they have to pay in the process. I searched around and found some way better deals at half the price. Thank you for the warning, otherwise, I may have gotten sucked into this one.

    1. Hey Michel,

Oh, so you were thinking of using Worldventures to maybe visit the USA somewhere in the future? And my review made you change your mind.

Yes, if Worldventures have to pay their distributors, of course the money has to come from somewhere. And that somewhere is people like you. No doubt when you searched around, you found some way better deals at half the price. It was my pleasure writing this review for our readers. If this prevented you from getting sucked into this adventure, then I have succeeded in writing reviews.

  2. Many thanks to you for sharing such an excellent article with us .Affiliate marketing is a very important thing to do online and can be done online here for free. From your web site I have been able to succeed professionally with various types of training.I want to do business with you and I want to get a membership first then do the work you are given. And I hope I can sign up others and make them a member. Will share be a new exprience.

    1. Hi Shariful,

It was my pleasure sharing this article with you. Thank you too for commenting on it. Unfortunately this post is not about affiliate marketing but multi-level marketing which can also be done online and but not for free. You have to pay a joining fee. I’m glad that you’ve learnt a lot from my web site for your own success. What kind of business do you want to do with me? If you can give me more details, then maybe we can discuss and go ahead with it. Let’s hear from you about that.

  3. This is definitely enlightening. From the outside, I’d like to think that I’d be forgiven for believing the claims worldventures made on their website. To be honest, it all seems legitimate and to further complicate things on my own end, the company has been in business for about 15 years. I usually think very highly of companies that last this long in business but this review has just proven that longevity is not a totally reliable yardstick to measure the legitimacy of a company’s offer. Perhaps the reason they were driven out of Norway.

    Thank you for sharing.

    1. Hi Rhain,

Thanks for finding this article enlightening. Well, I wouldn’t blame you for believing the claims worldventures made on their website. Those claims are made just for that: to win over people. Yes, 15 years in business is long enough to trust a company. For how can they exist for such a long period if they weren’t any good? Unfortunately longevity in business may not always be, as you so aptly said, “a totally reliable yardstick to measure the legitimacy of a company’s offer.”

      Thank you too for commenting.

  4. Hi Akoli,

Being an affiliate marketer and blogger I came across some ads and posts on Worldventures. As you know very well compared to the genuine products and programs the number of scams and products that under-delivers are more. So I always do my research before purchasing or promoting any products.

Your review is a greater help. I was disappointed when I read that there is no pros to mention about Worldventures. That says it all and there are too many red flags. I will stay away from this company.

For sure your review will save a lot of people time, trouble, effort and money.

    1. Hi Paul,

You’re right, there are more scams and products online than under deliver than genuine products and programs that deliver. So you’re right to always do your research before purchasing or promoting any products. That’s the only way to stay protected.

I’m happy that my review has been of help. Well, there were no pros to mention about Worldventures because we couldn’t find any.

I will be more than happy if my review saves a lot of people time, trouble, effort and money. Because that’s what I’m seeking to do with my reviews.

  5. Worldventures is the best business opportunity that enable one to obtained substantial  income, it gives you the opportunity for financial breakthrough and travel opportunity. Yes is listed at 25 on the list of the top 100 multi-level marketing companies in the world. One friend from GHANA is really making enough money. I hope  to take action now for time wait for no man.

    1. Hi Daniel,

Well, one person’s meat is another’s poison. While a commenter finds Worldventures as a business to avoid, you see it as the best business opportunity that can make one to obtain substantial income, assure you financial breakthrough and give you travel opportunity. That person buttressed their argument with the fact that we found no pros for this company and you said that it is 25 on the list of the top 100 multi-level marketing companies in the world. Good arguments for both of you. Yeah, you know someone from GHANA making enough money with this program? Okay, go ahead and try your luck too.
