That’s what we’re going to see using the 10 factors we draw on to write our MLM reviews.

That said, let’s dive in to see the first one.

Year of creation / Number of years of companies and other details

Younique was actually established in 2012.

This company is one of those we refer to as the new age marketing programs that is similar to Avon. It places more attention on social media marketing. This is a refreshing take on the MLM format.

We think this seems to be the future of a lot of the MLM businesses. Due to the fact that there are actually essentially limitless numbers of consumers to go about, this is actually encouraging. Hence the possibility of sales is actually improved ten times.

The company is actually undergoing fast development because of their focus on digital marketing.

No doubt Younique is quickly becoming a force in the cosmetics niche. And it will very shortly be attaining the levels of the likes of Avon.

Coty INC purchased 60 percent of the company in a purchase agreement in 2017 for 600 million dollars.

Then they had double-digit increases in growth the first year.

Sadly with that growth ever dropping in 2019 as Facebook carried out algorithm changes, the novelty of the deal wore off.

Considering that numerous pyramid programs are being exposed, the company is actually feeling the crisis as individuals are actually coming to be much more watchful regarding multi-level marketing systems. Needless to say, this is making it very difficult for the good companies that are doing it right to come out of the mud.

Our feeling is that the old saying “one bad apple don’t spoil the whole bunch” is not often an easy thing to understand for many.

The company was actually established in 1967.

Imagine how astonished we were when we found the number of actual and previous distributors had nice words concerning their experiences selling Oriflame products!

We must admit it is actually seldom we fall on a firm that is actually just as good as they boast they actually are. But this one was actually a pleasant surprise because they definitely are among the good guys!

They have more than 3 million distributors.

With more than 50 years of doing business, they are well established and well appreciated. They are also the biggest cosmetics distributor in the world.

Analysis and also progression are actually carried out on-site along with Oriflame’s very own condition of the fine art analysis as well as growth. This guarantees quality assurance of their items which are actually guaranteed along with a 100 per-cent money-back assurance.

Research and development are carried out on-site at Oriflame’s own state of the art research and development center. This contributes to assuring the quality control of their products that carry a 100 percent money-back guarantee.

Founder(s) and/or Director(s) of the company

Younique was actually established through sis and also sibling Melanie Huscroft and Derek Maxfield. It is actually headquartered in Lehi, Utah.

Derek is the Chief Executive Officer of the company.

The company was actually started in 1967 by Jonas and Robert Jochnick and Bengt Hellsten. It has its base out of Schaffhausen in Switzerland.

Position among top 100 MLM companies in the world

They are sitting at number 57 on the list of the leading 100 multi-level marketing companies in the world.

Oriflame Holding AG can be found at number 16 on the list of the bestt 100 multi-level marketing companies in the world.

Products and/or services offered

Younique offers a product line that is made with all natural ingredients. These ingredients are even displayed on their products so that people can know exactly what they are getting.

The products are mineral-based, 100 percent natural and also chemical-free.

The following are examples of some of the many products this company offers:

  • EssyNaturals Eyelash and Brow Growth Serum Irritation Free Formula – ‘Dermatologist Certified’ – Guaranteed Results in Just 3 – 4 Weeks for Longer, Thicker, and Fuller Eyelashes by EssyNaturals
  • Younique Hot Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lash Mascara Black Sealed
  • Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes Plus Fortified with Uplift Plus Enrichi EN Uplift
  • Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes
  • Younique MOODSTRUCK EPIC Mascara Legendary lashes with a wave of a wand.

There are actually a lot of positive reviews concerning the efficiency of their products. And also, as it is actually to be anticipated, a handful that claim they do not work. It’s rather an absence of them that will be shocking.

We must stress once more that we did not find many negative reviews but rather a lot of positive ones.

Younique does offer a 100 percent money-back guarantee on each and every one of their products.

This company recommends a product line that contains a whole lot of different personal care products. They are all-natural, high quality and also respected in the industry as top-notch.

The company puts body wash, mascara, face wash, perfume, moisturizers, sunblock, day cream, and night cream in the market. They also offer eyeliner, lipstick, soap, and a lot more personal care products.

All of the Oriflame products are researched in-house and produced from all-natural ingredients without any chemicals added.

The company also has kits for all sorts of applications.

Each one of their products can be found in their catalogs.

They consist of consumer goods, typically being composed of cosmetics, fragrances, and skincare. While a little bit expensive, the quality is actually undeniable.

No surprising that the customers, more than 7 million of them each year, are not only loyal but also believe firmly in them.

Last but not least, the products can only be had through distributors of the company.

Number of countries in which the companies do business

Younique is present in the United States, Mexico, Canada, Ireland, UnitedKingdom, France, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Italy, Australia, New Zealend, and Hong Kong.

They have more than 3 million distributors and operate in over 30 countries.

Business model / Compensation plan

The business model is rather straightforward. Potential distributors that the company has named presenters/hums buy a starter kit on their website for $99.00

These presenters are at that point required to purchase products from the website wholesale and resell them for a 20 percent profit. This goes up to 25 percent after presenters hit their first goal of $1000.00 in sales.

These resellers are encouraged to resort to social media and any other ways to build a downline of customers for their products.

The presenters/hums have to purchase products each and every month to maintain their membership.

Younique also motivates presenters to recruit new people. It is hoped these will buy a starter kit themselves and then be put in the presenters/hum’s downline.

This part of the business model has a separate commission plan and can get quite lucrative.

For insisting on recruitment to get more commissions, the company has earned a bad name as operating as a pyramid scheme. All evidence are actually that this is certainly not correct. And they have not been bothered by the FTC in any way.

There are reports of lots of many people who, when they attempted to earn a living with this company, failed and finally dropped them.

That is expected as it takes a certain person to be able to both sell and recruit members successfully.

If this person is you, then this could very well be the company you are looking for to give it a good shot at success!

A standard multi-level marketing plan is in place for this company and they take great care to accommodate their distributors.

Oriflame grants several bonuses and paid trips, and organizes seminars and all kinds of incentives for their workers.

To join this firm you must initially fill out a VIP customer registration form available on their website.

You need to at that point finish the three 90-day welcome plans they have in place.

You can earn money in three ways.

The initial method is actually to purchase wholesale: you save by acquiring your own products at wholesale prices.

The second method to earn money is to show your catalog to others. These will then buy products from your catalog at retail prices. Since you will be ordering them at a 25 percent discount, this becomes the difference to keep.

The third method to generate cash is to end up being a distributor and build your own sales team.

Through recruiting other people to join you in the selling of products, you will be building your own downline.

Now you will certainly not simply be actually generating cash from your direct sales however additionally you will definitely be doing this from the sales of the people that are in your sales crew!

When you sign up with Oriflame you will have access to every one of the company’s training sessions and seminars.

You sell their products socially online and in your very own online store provided by the company.

You have to buy through a direct dealer of their products, even if it is on Amazon. This is because they must be distributed with permission from the distributors thus making them exclusive.

Our view of / take on the company

This company satisfies all the requirements of a good MLM company.

The company has been tested over time as well as have a good reputation. They offer quality products, and stand behind them 100 percent.

Youngevity has put a solid business model in place that offers both handsome commissions on the sales of their products first, then commissions on recruiting others.

We however are not happy because of the fact that their products can be found all over the internet. Regardless of that, this organization can still make you money and people should be able to build their own customer base in a very short time.

Because of that, we give Younique a thumbs up and endorse them as one of the legit multi-level marketing companies out there to sign up with to make money.

We like this company because they have everything essential which makes them a multi-level business which works.

Their pay structure is praiseworthy and the firm really cares about its products as well as its workers.

They have a solid warranty policy and undertake in-house testing on all of their products to ensure that they are natural.

We are glad to give this company a big thumbs up. So we would not hesitate to endorse them to anyone wanting to try out their MLM plan.

10 thoughts on “Younique vs. Oriflame Cosmetics”

  1. I had no idea that Oriflame has been around this long, since the 60s! Thank you for comparing the pros and cons between Younique and Oriflame. I have to say when It comes MLM company I always chose the one that has been around long enough.I love the fact that Oriflame products are exclusive so it makes sense that the customers want to pay for a higher price (They can only get from us distributor.) I do not want to promote a product that I have to compete with the online store anymore, it is just not fair.

    • Hello Nuttanee,

Yes, Oriflame is one of those old companies. Since you always chose the MLM company that has been around long enough, I think you will give this company a try. Yes, exclusive products often attract higher prices. I also will not cherish the idea of promoting a product that the online store competes with me for.

  2. As a newbie marketer, I find both of these cosmetic companies very interesting. A few weeks ago, I honestly had no idea that so many companies outsources talents for marketing. I was under the impression that marketing was lots of huge campaigns coming from some think-tank office at corporate. That being said, due to my lack of experience with sales, I believe that Oriflame would be the one for me. I found the detail you included about their 90 day training program very alluring. I feel like 90 days is plenty enough to get someone new to marketing up and running a successful income stream.

    • Hey Maria,

It would be difficult, if not impossible, to count the number of companies that outsources talents for marketing. Are you saying that you would like to try Oriflame? Sure, 90 days is long enough to get someone to learn marketing and start working successfully.

  3. Hi Akoli, It is interesting how you have compared these two multi level marketing companies. I am not a big fan of MLM’s as I have worked for one (not in cosmetics) and found it hard to make a reasonable amount of money.

I have heard from other sources that Younique distributors are very pushy, and the fact that they have to buy something every single month, most probably explains why. If I had to choose between these companies, I will choose Oriflame.

    • Hi there,

Thanks for finding this comparison post interesting. Having failed to make money in MLM, I’m not surprised that you are not a big fan of them.

If Younique distributors are very pushy, this could also be due to the training they received.

  4. Hello there, This is an amazing article that you have got here. Both the younique and the oriflame cosmetic have been proven worthy of their claims and offer great commission for sales of their product. The younique stands a better chance competing with the oriflame cosmetic as both stands to offer quality products and try to stay afloat in the business.

    • Hello there,

Thank you for your appreciation of my article. It was a pleasure writing it for my readers. Thank you for commenting. I appreciate.

  5. Hey nice review you have between the two companies, your thoughts are indeed invaluable. The two companies are doing well in their various fields, what distinquised one from the other is the type of startegies used in the marketing of their products. However, since Oriflame offers training and coaching, it is more like to attracts more membership to their products due to the training that is available

    • Hey there,
